It’s a Sunday evening.

It is an evening of checking my subconscious beliefs. I found some unfounded beliefs and fears that I have been holding on to and I needed to let go. One of the subconscious beliefs is the tricky ‘What if?’

Though meant to be two-sided, it always play out on the negative. What do I mean? It plays out like this: ‘What if they won’t pick me?’ ‘What if they don’t like me?’ Whereas it’s meant to go like: ‘What if they like me?’ ‘What if they pick me…?’ But in reality chances are, they will like me and odds are they will pick me.

Life becomes fair to us when we venture out. I realised that the mind choosing to side with the negative is its own way of protecting itself against rejection, although I believe rejection is an easier emotion to deal with than regret. This is because with rejection, you have the benefit of a clear verdict and with that comes an added benefit of appraisal of action in case of further trials. But with indecision, which always culminate in regret you are robbed of a verdict, but left you with a sour taste of ‘What ifs’.

So, after a lot of soul searching, I came to a conclusion, "I will be there when my life unfolds…"

Most of us are not always present when our life unfolds. Some are always in the past when their life unfolds; they are caught up in the web of history, while some are always in the future, thinking all kind of ‘what ifs’ and caught up in the fear of the unknown.

The best place to be while you live your life is right there. The best state to be in when you make decision is ‘Present’. The best time to live is NOW.

It’s a Sunday evening and everything is beautiful.
